Kidspot Campaign Supports Break Free Program

When online media outlet Kidspot.com.au launched their Kidspot Cares #couchandacuppa campaign, they were seeking to both raise awareness and find a solution to family violence.

After attending our Halo Ball fundraising event for our domestic and family violence services, they decided their campaign would support our Break Free children’s program, encouraging their readers to donate to our early intervention program.

BaptistCare’s Break Free program works with children to rebuild their lives and focus on a future free from the trauma of domestic and family violence.

The children we are caring for see or hear the violence experienced by their mother, and many are direct victims of violence themselves. They are growing up in an environment tainted by fear, shattering their trust, eroding their love and disrupting their development, education and mental wellbeing. Our team of specialist staff connect with both the mothers and children, to rebuild the bond that has been broken, and enable them to establish a new life together.
